The base plate, trunk segments and lying surfaces are made of extremely hard-wearing birch multiplex wood which is coated with HPL (High Pressure Laminate). Birch multiplex is one of the highest quality furniture materials. A special feature here is the fine veneer layers visible on the front edges of the lying surfaces. These can be seen in the side view of the square trunk (8 x 8 cm). To accommodate the 5 mm thick felt inlays made of OEKO-TEX certified new wool, the tops of the lying surfaces are milled to the millimeter. The felt inlays fit snugly against the surface. Nothing is bulky here, no plush, no frills - just HOME! Your cat will feel "completely at home" on the large lying areas. There is enough space to climb, romp and relax on 40x50 centimeters. The trunk segments of the HOME scratching post are covered with sisal. Compared to sisal cords, the fine woven look of our sisal with latex waffle backing looks delicate and elegant and is extremely hard-wearing and durable. Care: If the top side of the felt inserts becomes worn at any time, the felt inserts can be turned over. Vacuuming or brushing is sufficient for care. All coated surfaces can be wiped clean of hair or dust with a single wipe. This means that our Home scratching post is also recommended for allergy sufferers.

Note: Hidden inside the trunk is an aluminum profile and a one and a half centimeter thick steel threaded rod, which ensures the best possible vertical stability of the scratching post. A ten-kilogram steel plate is inserted into the base plate from below and provides impressive stability. The assembly material is of course included in the scope of delivery. The greatest possible stability was also taken into account when fixing the lying surfaces to the trunk. The lamella connectors are another invisible detail. In addition to the screw connection, these are inserted into grooves on the trunk and lying surface - more stability is not possible. The designer scratching post is suitable for large and heavy cats.
